National Championships
National Championships

This year J. O. National Championships (Level 5 – 10) will be held June 23 – 29 in San Jose, California.

Registration

All Fairland Optional levels are expected to compete. If for some reason you can not attend please let Konstantin know as soon as possible.

Level 5 through 7 athletes who would like to compete should tell Konstantin before Wednesday, May 13. If your child has not yet qualified, but you will go if he/she qualifies at Regionals, you need to respond.  He will be completing the registration for Nationals immediately after Regionals and mailing the next day, Monday May 18. If you do not tell Konstantin that your child plans to go to Nationals, pending qualification, your child will not be registered.

“Entries after the deadline are subject to the approval of the Program Director and, if approved, entry fees will be doubled.”

Meet Fee Accounts

Make sure you have enough funds in your child’s account before Monday, May 18, if you are  planning to go to Nationals.   If you do not have funds in your account, your child will not be registered. Please contact Valerie Jarrell if you have questions about the status of your account.

  • Levels 8-10
    First event – $125
    Each additional event – $20
  • Levels 5-7
    First event – $115
    Each additional event – $20

Arrival Dates

Optional Level athletes should arrive in San Jose on Tuesday, June 23, and may leave Sunday, June 28, if they are not competing in any events at a lower level.

Level 5 – 7 athletes should arrive Friday, June 26 and may leave Tuesday, June 30.

Practice Schedule Updates for May, 2009

This weekend Level 10 and up athletes will travel to Ft. Smith, Arkansas, for the U.S. Elite Challenge. Due to this meet, Optional A team members will not practice at Fairland on Friday and Saturday, May 8-9. All other Trampoline and Tumbling teams practices will remain as scheduled. 

Due to Region 6 Championships

    We'll need some help packing our trampolines for Regionals.
    Seeking help loading trampolines for Regionals.
  • Friday, May 16 – Optional team will practice from 5pm till 7:30pm. After practice we will need help of several parents to load our trampolines onto the truck. If you are willing to help please email me at kosta@kgymnastics.com.
  • Saturday, May 17 – All athletes who are registered to compete at Regional Championships should report to the Berkeley Recreation Center at 11am. Again, we will need help setting up trampolines around 10am. There won’t be any practice at Fairland on Saturday.
  • Monday, May 18 – All competetive team practice is canceled. D-team will remain as schedule.

More dates to remember:

  • Saturday, May 23 – STG and Level 5 canceled. All other groups will practice as scheduled.
  • Monday, May 25 – Fairland is closed due to memorial day.

Parents/Spotters — Our team will be expected to provide 2 adult spotters for every session that Fairland has athletes registered.

“All trampoline teams with 10 or more athletes in the meet, be prepared to provide two adult spotters for half-session long duty at trampoline for each training and competition session.”

Also of note…

  • Absolutely no food or drink on the competition floor
  • There is an official meet photographer and only that photographer may be on the floor “within the ropes”.
  • A coupon for a basic meet T Shirt is included in the athlete goody bag. Coupon may be redeemed for basic shirt only or used for $15 toward upgraded shirt or alternate item.

2009 State Championships Results

Twenty-four members of the Fairland Trampoline and Tumbling Team won first place and were named State Champions April 24-25, 2009.  

Congratulations also to the 30 Fairland athletes who qualified for the JO National Championships to be held in San Jose, California, in June 2009.

The final opportunity to qualify will be at Regional Championships May 16-17 in Martinsburg, WV.

Fairland won State Championships

Congratulations to Fairland Trampoline and Tumbling team members for a successful state championship meet. Trampoline team took first place in both compulsory and optional divisions. Double-Mini Trampoline team took first in compulsory and second in optional divisions. Tumbling team took third place in compulsory division.

Congratulations to Delilah Glidden who received the VonBargen Award in Trampoline. Her entry fee for Nationals will be reimbursed by the State Trampoline and Tumbling Association.
